The Multilam PrincipleMC Multilam bands are torsion or leaf spring contact elements with unmatched electrical and mechanical properties. The Multilam design produces a large number of louvers, and therefore allows contact to be made through a large number of defined contact points, which substantially reduces the overall contact resistance. There is now a range of some 50 different Multilams, each of which is designed for a specific application. Some bands are specifically optimized for high plugging cycles, while others are perfected for high current loads, both in short-circuit or continuous conditions. |
