POAG - The Connector System For Equipotential Grounding
In hospitals, patients and staff are subjected to dangerous, uncontrollable compensating currents flowing between equipment and touchable conducting parts of different voltage potentials. The best solution to this problem is the installation of a seamless potential equalization system. Multi-Contact provides connectors for stationary site installations and medical instruments. Movable equipment is equipotentially grounded with angled socket leads to specially contoured plugs (with or without panel receptacles) attached to the equipotential network.
Note: POAG pins and sockets are made to DIN 42801. POAG connecting leads consist of a green/yellow PVC insulated, highly flexible copper wire with a socket on one or both ends. Available cross sections are 4 and 6mm². POAG connectors surpass the specified safety requirements relating to accidental disconnection and electrical contact resistance according to DIN.
