SUN POWER GEOTHERMAL; 100 KILOWATT SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM IN OAKLAND, CA UTILIZES MULTI-CONTACT PHOTOVOLTAIC CONNECTORS.

Sun Power & Geothermal Energy Co., Inc. and the Oakland Scottish Rite Center are breaking ground on a 100 kilowatt solar energy system for the 1927 landmark building on Lake Merritt. Paying for itself in just 11 years, the system will generate $1.1 million in avoided costs over its expected lifespan, money that will fund renovation of the building. The photovoltaic solar system, mounted on the roof, will provide electrical power for the 75,000 square foot building's offices, meeting rooms, stage and auditorium, ballroom, kitchens, and conference center. The project utilizes Multi-Contact photovoltaic (PV) connectors. Sun Power had this to say about MC connectors:

"The quick connects are the best invention to hit solar ever! The hand held crimper is a close second."
