- A new company building is under construction in Germany (Essen) With a present total staff of 240, of whom 170 are employed on a permanent basis, at its Essen plant Multi-Contact develops and produces high-grade electrical test accessories, stranded wires and plug connectors for solar energy systems (PV sector). In August 2007 the decision was taken to relocate Multi-Contact Essen to a new building. An expansion of production and warehousing capacity is needed, since capacity at the existing location in the Hövelstrasse is exhausted and in particular can no longer meet the needs of the continuing boom in the PV sector.
